Where is Help?
In some cases, when you click on the Program Guide,
you may receive a dialog message that states "Cannot find hlp file. Do you want to find it
yourself?".
Please do no reinstall the program but use the easiest of the two methods below to restart help.
I use the word click to mean single click or double click. My system is set for single clicks, but yours may be set for double click.
Method 1:
- Click Help Menu.
- Click the menu item for your program guide.
- When you get the message that the program can't find help, click the Browse button.
- Browse to *c:\Program Files\Knitting Wizards folder
- Open the folder for your program.
- Locate the help file and double click it. Once Help runs for the first time, you will be all set.
Method 2:
- Open Windows Explorer
- Click the + by Drive C
- Scroll down to Program Files
- Click the +
- Scroll to *Knitting Wizards
- Click the +
- Click the folder for your program
- On the right side of the screen you will see the files for
program. Locate the help file that is a closed book icon. (Windows XP: the icon is a question mark) Click the closed book. Help will run. Close
help. You should be all set now.
If you own an older Patternworks CD, the folder is *c:\Program Files\Patterworks
